The new year is a time of transition, completion of one year and entry into a time of promise and renewal. So, it is under the good omens of the new year 2014 that we are pleased to announce the birth of Mahasukha Europe association, created according to the wishes of Nuptul Tenpei Nyima Rinpoche, heart son of Do Drupchen Rinpoche, in order to supervise and support his activity in France and Europe.
Mahasukha Europe brings together the work previously done by Mahasukha France and Dharma France associations. In continuity, under the guidance of Rinpoche, the association will:
- spread the Buddha’s teachings,
- gather people interested in buddhism, in local practice groups and will organize retreats with Rinpoche,
- support humanitarian and cultural activities and projects with the purpose of improving the life conditions of the people in India, Tibet, Nepal and Himalayan area and particularly, projects of Sangchen Rabten Norbu Ling monastery in Nubri area.
In 2012 and 2013 Nuptul Rinpoche gave us the honor and joy of coming and meeting us in south France (Alpes-Maritimes) and in the heart of the Vosges mountains. These visits were marked by retreats, courses and public lectures in different places and many people were able to appreciate his erudition, his unique style and his ability to adapt teachings to modern western life.
According to the wishes of Rinpoche and following transmissions and empowerments in Nice in 2013, a group of practices was set up and is now meeting regularly in Grasse for sessions of mantras accumulations.
We will again have the good fortune to welcome Rinpoche for a European tour in the summer of 2014. Dates and programs are not yet established, but we know that in the continuity of his last visit, Rinpoche will lead a retreat for few days.
